Introducing the Hoban Leadership Institute—Developing student leadership skills

The Hoban Leadership Institute offers students the opportunity to enhance their skills and provides intentional, inclusive and integrated leadership development opportunities. Hoban offers financial aid, scholarships and a work-study program.

Hoban is committed to providing scholarships and need-based assistance to give all qualified students the opportunity to receive a Hoban education. Hoban’s Work Study program provides tuition credit for a student’s work on the school’s cleaning crew during the summer and throughout the school year.

Students do not have to be Catholic to attend Hoban

The 25 percent of Hoban’s non-Catholic student body is represented by a number of different faiths.

Our educational philosophy stems from the Holy Cross Core Values based on the writings of Blessed Basil Moreau, the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1837. Moreau believed the first duty of educators was to develop people of values. He was convinced knowledge without values is empty.

One of Moreau’s key points of emphasis was inclusivity: “It would be a serious mistake to open a school imagining that all students will be alike in character and conduct.” – Christian Education, 1856
